This brought a chuckle. One of the many things my friend Nathalie and I had in common was our love of Cream of Wheat for breakfast, and a sugary cereal never darkened her door or mine.

My breakfast is totally savory - steamed broccoli, sweet potato, cottage cheese, fried egg. Try to fit that in the freezer section!

I really dislike this aspect of American culture that normalizes sugary desserts as breakfast food — I hardly ever eat it myself and wonder how it’s become the norm in our country. Like, the last thing I want in the morning is something sweet

This confirms that I must be a deep thinker, I have for years pondered the fact that breakfast for many is dessert! Myself, I make sure that breakfast is always from the savory side of the menu.
